Do you use a piercing gun?
Nope! We only use single-use, sterile hollow needles for all piercings. This method is safer, more precise, and promotes better healing than piercing guns.
Do I need an appointment?
Yes, all piercings are by appointment only. You can book directly here: thepiercingshop.as.me
What is the minimum age for piercings?
- Lobes: 5 years+ with parent/guardian present.
- Cartilage, navel & nostril piercings: 13 years+ with parent/guardian present.
- Other piercings: 18+ with valid ID no exceptions.
(Bring a government-issued photo ID every time!)
All minors must have a parent/legal guardian present. Guardian must have photo id and minors birth certificate in hand (or previously uploaded when booked online)
Cartilage piercings: certain piercings such as Rook, Daith…ect, will not be performed on minors without a history of healed cartilage piercings.
How should I prepare for my appointment?
- Eat a good meal beforehand.
- Stay hydrated.
- Avoid alcohol, caffeine, or blood-thinning medications for at least 24 hours before.
- Bring valid ID (and a parent/guardian, with birth certificate if under 18).
How long does healing take?
Initial healing phase is 4-8 week, but true healing times vary, depending on piercing:
• Lobes: 6-9 months
• Cartilage (helix, conch, etc.): 6–12 months
• Nostrils: 6–9 months
• Navel: 9–12 months
• Nipple: 9–18 months
Every body heals differently, and it takes time. Be consistent with aftercare, and have patience with the process.
How do I take care of my new piercing?
- Clean twice daily with sterile saline spray.
- Avoid touching, twisting, or sleeping directly on it. Try not to fiddle!
- Don’t remove jewelry until fully healed.
- Avoid pools, hot tubs, baths, and lakes during the first 8 week
What jewelry do you use?
We pierce exclusively with implant-grade titanium and solid 14k gold jewelry for safety and style.
Do piercings hurt?
Discomfort is minimal and quick! Most clients say the anticipation is worse than the piercing itself.
Can I bring my own jewelry?
For safety and sterilization reasons, we only pierce with jewelry purchased in-studio.
What if I need to reschedule?
You can reschedule through your booking confirmation email. Please give at least 24 hours’ notice.
No call no show appointments will be subject to another non-refundable deposit.
Do you sell just jewelry?
Yes! Feel free to book an appointment to come shop! Jewelry starts at $40
